We are happy to share our knowledge with you by answering any motoring-related questions. Here are answers to some commonly asked questions to help you understand how we do things and why.

Q1. Why should I buy a car from Al-Futtaim Automall?

Al-Futtaim Automall is the UAE’s leader for buying, selling, maintaining and repairing used cars. We always aim to offer great value for money and offer trustworthy advice to give you peace of mind. There is a car for any budget in our stock, and our friendly team members will help you find the right vehicle for you. We pride ourselves on quality, maintaining this by ensuring our cars undergo a 99-point vehicle inspection, with any issues fully rectified before it goes on sale. To further back this up each vehicle comes with a one-year warranty plus a mileage authentication certificate.

Q2. Does Al-Futtaim Automall buy and sell all makes and models of used cars?

We do, to give you more choice. We normally stock a good range of vehicles from all brands. We also buy and sell both passenger cars across all categories i.e. 4x4’s saloon cars, hatchbacks, sports cars etc, in addition to commercial vehicles.

Q3. Where does Al-Futtaim Automall get its stock from?

In the main the cars we sell come from our current customers in the GCC region. This includes private motorists who part-exchange their model when buying a newer one and showroom trade-ins. Others come from trusted car rental businesses, government institutions, and business fleet owners that want to sell and upgrade.

Q4. If I pay a deposit on a car, can it be refunded?

We don’t offer refunds on vehicle deposits, but you can transfer the payment to another one of our cars within three months of the deposit being paid.

Q5. Does Al-Futtaim Automall offer finance?

We do offer finance through our partnerships with leading a large number of UAE banks and other financial providers, for used cars up to eight years old. As a consequence of our scale we enjoy the most competitive rates available in market. Normal terms and conditions apply.

Q6. Will my Al-Futtaim Automall car come with a warranty?

Yes. Every car we sell comes with a 12-month/20,000 kilometer comprehensive warranty (whichever comes first) from the date of delivery. If the remaining manufacturer warranty covers you for longer than this, it is transferred to you. For peace of mind you can also extend the warranty up to three years or 60,000 kilometers for an extra charge. Terms and conditions apply.

Q7. What does the warranty cover?

Our warranty will cover the cost to replace or repair any faulty part that is caused by poor materials or workmanship during normal use. Unfortunately, this doesn’t include normal wear and tear of parts.

Q8. Is the warranty transferable if I sell my car?

As the warranty is between Al-Futtaim Automall and you, it cannot be transferred to another car, as selling the vehicle makes it invalid.

Q9. What is an ‘accident car’?

An ‘accident car’ is a vehicle that has been involved in a collision which has caused a major damage to the main chassis or frame. We do not sell accident cars at any of our sites.

Q10. Do you ever partly or completely repaint cars before they go on sale?

We inspect every car inside and out to see what work is needed to return it to showroom condition. Sometimes this means making minor repairs to scratches on the body, or a complete respray in our state-of-the-art paint booths. This work is always completed by one of our skilled, fully trained aftersales technicians.

Q11. If a car has been repainted, does this mean it was involved in an accident?

Not always. Small scratches and dents are unavoidable, and sometimes a complete respray is the only way to return a car to showroom condition before we put it on sale.

Q12. Will my car come with new tires?

Not necessarily. We replace the four main tires if the tread depth is less than 3.0 mm and/or if they are more than three years old as per DOT. The spare tire is replaced if it does not meet the approved RTA standards.

Q13. Does each car you stock come with new brake pads and brake discs?

We will inspect the brake pads and discs during our pre-sale 99-point inspection and replace them if the thickness is below the vehicle manufacturer guidelines.​

Q14. What does an Al-Futtaim Automall service check cover?

Alongside a routine service, we will complete checks across the rest of the car to look for faults that need repairing. We will also make sure that everything is working as it should be for your peace of mind.

Q15. Does Al-Futtaim Automall provide the service history of each car it sells?

We will always share the vehicle information that is available from past owners. If you want them, we can also share the results of our own 99-point inspection and other tasks that were completed when we prepared your car for sale.
